Hit me baby one more time...

As always my life never has a dull moment. On Saturday me and the girls went shopping for a gift for a party we were attending and while walking in the parking lot I was hit by a car. Yes me, and not me in a car. The dumb b**** in an SUV wasn't paying attention and tagged my right side. It wasn't very hard thankfully, and I think I was more shocked than hurt. It all happened so fast, and all I could do was stand there for several minutes in disbelief. I wasn't able to get any information off the car and the driver could've cared less than she hit a person...let alone a PREGNANT person!!!

I didn't go to the ER cause I wasn't feeling any pain and the impact wasn't very hard- I later regretted this decision very much so. The next day I of course started feeling pain where the baby is and immediately freaked out. Chris was still with the guys on the camping trip so I waited til around noon to head to the hospital in hopes he would get there sooner than later. Luckily while I was on my way there I found out he was back in Phoenix, and he was able to meet me there.

After waiting 6 hours in the ER we found out that the lil one was doing just fine and was moving around a ton! It was even drinking amniotic fluid...so cool! I was completely mesmerized by the whole thing. A huge sigh of relief came over me knowing our baby was doing ok. The tech said it was measuring almost two weeks ahead and weighed 7 oz already- that's double what they're supposed to weigh at this point!

The next day I had some light spotting so my OB had me come in to check things out and she did ANOTHER ultrasound. Our little one was just fine, and even started sucking it's thumb!!! SOOO SWEET! Here are some pics from that appointment:

16 weeks 5 days

I am amazed how you can love something so much that you haven't even met yet. Our appointment went well and she said the baby looked great and it was probably nothing but to take it easy. Ha, has she met me???

Baby Bedding

I'm really hoping that this baby is a boy cause if not we are so in the hole with money and baby items! Lol. Okay, not really but all the things we did buy so far are geared towards a boy- and they have all been on sale or discounted ;) Aren't you proud mom??? :)

Today we bought some of the bedding for the nursery. Since the one we want isn't in stores and we can't register for it if we have a baby shower- that's a whole other story- we figured our best bet is to just eat the cost and buy it ourself. Thankfully I looked online and found a couple near us who was selling theirs that their baby barely used. It was in PERFECT condition and a great price. And tonight I found the decorations for it as well! But the seller is in CA so if we agree on a price they'd have to ship it which I am not so sure about. Any who, here's a pic of what a completed room would look like...if we ever get there :)

Isn't it cute??? Very Chris if you ask me! He even has his baby blanket from childhood that he wants the baby to have- precious I must say!

A bit of a scare...but all good in the end :)

The past few days I've been having these sharp pains in my lower abdomen and I kinda chalked it up to growing pains but finally today I couldn't take it anymore and no one in the Medicaid program would see me until I got my approval so I called my old OB's office, explained what was going on with the pains and insurance. The said come in for a reg office visit but my OB is out of town. So the nurse did Triage on me and called me back and said another doc in the practice wants me to come in ASAP. I went in thinking everything was ok cause I wasn't too concerned to start with but my blood pressure was high...again...they found white blood cells in my urine, and seemed very concerned about what was going on. The doc came in did an u/s and the bean was there waving away! It had a heart rate of 148, and she said everything looked good. She did say "Wow that's a big baby" when she first saw it though...lol. But she was worried about my ovaries and possible appendicitis. So they sent me to an imaging center for another u/s. Chris wasn't able to get to me in time but got freaked out once I told him about what the doc said so he rushed to meet me in time for the 2nd u/s. I was hoping he'd get a quick peek at our little bean since he missed the other one!

The imaging center wouldn't let Chris in the room cause she said she wasn't going to do anything baby related so I basically guilted her into giving us a pic so he could finally see it.

Isn't the baby HUGE?!? lol.....but so darn cute I must say ;)

Shamu returns!

Everyone has been asking how big I have gotten so far since as we know from the past, I tend to blow up quite fast! So here it is ladies and gentleman:

Me at 10 weeks

Yeah I know! As my lovely sister Sandy has said you can call me Shamu these days! lol. I'm proud to say I've only gained 3 pounds so at least its not just me getting fat :)

Everything's ok!

Today we had our first prenatal appoitnment and it was amazing! Very emotional for both me and chris but we got to see our little one and s/he is PERFECT!

Heart rate of 167 which the doctor said was awesome so I am so much more at ease now. Still scared cause there's always a slight chance something could go wrong but no where close to the panic I was feeling before. I bawled my eyes out when the doctor said our little one was ok, it was just pure relief and joy to know that FINALLY we are going to be blessed with a baby!

Pet Walk 01.25.09

We had a blast with the Rossi boys at the Pet Walk at Tempe Towne Lake yesterday. We took Izzie with us since she's the friendliest, and she loved it! She was a little scared at first but after awhile she was sniffing around like the rest of them lol!

It's that time of year!

Yup, it's that time of year for Ann to drive Chris crazy with christmas outfits, pictures, and decorations! Ahh the wonderful sound of me running around like a mad person trying to make the house AND yard look as christmassy as it's gonna get in 75 degree weather. We recently had chris' boys and my girls over to decorate the christmas tree and help set up the decorations outside. Boy was it a success!! Next up: Christmas cards! We're going to be doing a photo shoot with our favorite lady with a camera, Diane! Photo's will be up soon ;)

Dashing through the snow...

Im convinced that the furbabies know that the minute they have some form of clothing put on them they should just suck it up and pose for the camera that will inevitably appear. They're so cute in their little outfits its hard to resist the urge to snap away :)
