My hubby spoils me :)

Anyone who know's DH IRL knows he isn't exactly the romancer or the type to go above and beyond to do sweet things for me. But for my b-day he did!

It's been so long since we've done/bought anything for ourselves and yes, it may be materialistic but I love my presents. Before we even thought about Ethan, before we moved to WA, before the economy went down the toliet, we were doing good. I had a fabulous car, a new house, great jobs...money was stable and we didn't have to worry. Then we decided to have a baby thinking we had nothing to worry about. By the time I was in my 2nd trimester we knew things weren't looking good. The economy was slowly dying and so we're our careers. But we stayed optimistic, and promised that no matter happened we will pull through.

After several bouts of bed rest, numerous times being told not so happy news about the baby and then everything turning out OK, and BOTH of us losing our jobs by summer time we didn't have much of a choice in what to do. So we planned our move to WA to rebuild our now jagged life.

It took months to get settled in here, and things are FINALLY looking up. I'm doing really well at the nursing home, DH just got promoted with a huge raise, and we're now looking into getting our own place. We work hard for the things in our life. Yes we like nice things, and not everyone around us understands that. We don't think we're better than anyone by any means, we don't act snotty or rub it in others faces with what we do have(which trust me isn't much). BUT we are proud of the things we have, especially knowing how we got them and where we came from in the last 2 years. I don't know how a post that was meant to show how lucky I am that DH went the extra mile to spoil me this year into a gushy life changing post but oh well haha.
